Chris
Founder & Instructor
Hi, I’m Chris, and I’ve been teaching and performing music for over 20 years in a variety of settings. From one-on-one lessons to group workshops and live performances, I’ve worked with musicians of all skill levels. My approach is all about keeping music fun, creative, and true to who you are as a human. I’m passionate about helping students discover their own sound and guiding them to play the music they love.
I love working with beginners. Watching someone pick up a guitar for the first time and helping them discover their own creativity is a gift I love giving. It is priceless—it opens doors to expression, connection, and endless possibilities. My goal is to nurture that initial passion and ensure it doesn’t get lost in rigid, traditional methods. I want my students to enjoy the learning process, explore their own interests, and feel empowered to create music that truly reflects who they are.
Ethan
Apprentice Instructor
Ethan has been immersed in music since the day he was born. In his earliest days, he was literally cradled in one arm while I practiced scales with the other. From that point on, music became a natural part of how he moved through the world.
He has an incredible ear, something I lovingly envy, and a deep feel for harmony and rhythm that continues to surprise me. These days, he often sits in on lessons with my students, offering insight, asking sharp questions, and sharing ideas in a way that’s totally his own. He’s growing fast, and it’s been a joy to watch.
Ethan was picking out Mozart by ear at age five and has always had the kind of intuitive musical sense that can’t be taught. Hand him any instrument and give him a few seconds, he’ll find the melody. In high school, he spent over three years in formal music instruction, building the technical foundation and vocabulary to match what his ear already understood. This is where I’ve had the most fun guiding him, helping connect the dots between the raw instincts he’s always had and the theory that gives them structure. That’s my world, and it’s been a blast to share it with him.
